Taxi over to Wisconsin Aviation (608-268-5010) at Madison to find a great little airport restaurant, the Jet Room. Open every day until 2:00 p.m., the Jet Room is located right in the beautiful Wisconsin Aviation building. Floor to ceiling windows look out on the tarmac. So it is easy to spend well over an hour sitting back watching the show. If you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the Wisconsin Air National Guard F-16s.
If you want to make a day of it, request the airport courtesy car and drive into town. The University of Wisconsin – Madison offers walking tours.
