As I called my turn to final, a Cessna departing radioed, "Have a good breakfast." I laughed, "How did you know?" Their response, "That is the only reason to come to Lonerock!" Well, luckily it is a good enough reason. The Picadilly Lilly Diner (608-583-3318) is located on the Northwest side of the field. You can taxi you aircraft right up to the door. Serving breakfast and lunch, the restaurant is decorated with an aviation theme. As a pilot you will feel right at home.
Those that fly to Lonerock and the Picadilly Lilly Diner are a friendly bunch. I was invited to join other pilots at large round table, where we discussed our airplanes.
Taliesin (www.taliesinpreservation.org), Frank Lloyd Wright's Wisconsin home and school, is nearby. But I have not figured out how to drive the 12 miles without a vehicle. If you find a way, let me know!
