Baraboo (KDLL)

The Baraboo Airport is another great airport for a short stop or an extended stay. If you are just stopping in, the FBO can call a free shuttle to take you the short way to the Ho Chunk Casino (800-746-2486). Even non-gamblers will win here with a very affordable all-you-can-eat buffet. I got lucky at the Blackjack table and ended up getting my buffet lunch for free (your results may vary).

Baraboo Airport is also adjacent to Wisconsin Dells, the "Water Park Capital of the World." Here the along the Wisconsin River is a spectacular glacially-formed gorge that features striking sandstone rock formations. Each year about 5 million people visit Wisconsin Dells to golf, horseback ride, see the shows, take a Dells Boat Tour and visit the water parks. You can find many resorts and affordable hotels for your stay.
