Ann Arbor is the home to the University of Michigan (www.umich.edu). Since 1927, the "Big House" has been the home of the Michigan football team. Over 100,000 fans pack the stadium for each Michigan home game.
The Ann Arbor Airport is conveniently located just down the street. They airport is typically busy during games. In fact, some people come out to the airport on game days just to see the banner towing operations that take place at the field. You can see planes dropping off and picking up their banners for flights around the stadium.
Don't be suprised if you are greeted with a friendly "Hello" from a bird (image 4) at the Ann Arbor Aviation Center (www.aviationcenter.aero; 734-662-6806). To get to campus, you can rent from Hertz or have the staff at Aviation Center call a taxi service. I find it easier just to rent a car, which you can also use to visit downtown Ann Arbor for a good meal. The Aviation Center will also wash and wax your plane during your stay. My plane looked great on my return trip!
