You've seen the ads. Now you can visit the home of Sporty's (800-776-7897). And if you pick the right day (Saturday between noon and 2 p.m. EDT) you can grab a free hotdog or brat.

You might expect a big pilot superstore based on all the name recognition. However, Sporty's is mainly a mail order store. You will be able to view the warehouse, but don't expect to walk through a Walmart for pilots.

If you develop a hotdog habit, you can even move to Sporty's. They are selling some on-airport homes at the other end of the field. Ask someone from Sporty's to bring you over to check out the model home, which was a bit out of my price range.
