In December of 1976, Gary and Diane Richards opened Richard's Farm Restaurant (217-932-5300) in a 1930's barn that had been owned by the Richards family for many years. Gary's family had used the barn to protect their livelihood - livestock and grain - but for many years it had sat empty.
There are two options to get to the restaurant from the airport. Sky’s the Limit, the small FBO, has an airport car available for the short ride. Or you can call Richard’s Farm to have them come pick you up.
Work off some of your filling meal with a stroll around the gardens. Some goats may roam around with you. I even saw a peacock sunning himself on the lawn.
